The Wire Mix USB Series.
For the last few years I have been
making Hip Hop mixes with characters from The Wire featured on each one. The
first one was a few years ago and featured Omar and was called Best Not Miss.
The mix was well received and I went on to make the next one featuring The Bunk
- A Code. Having done 10 mixes featuring; Omar, Bunk, Slim Charles, Bodie,
Bubbs, Stringer, Snoop and Chris, Avon, Herc and McNulty I am now releasing
them on a credit card style USB.
These mixes are not carefully crafted
pieces of perfection created on a computer. They are Hip Hop mixes from my turntables.
Yes, I edit out some serious fuck ups but other than that it is pretty much
live. You can tell that they are rugged neva smooth. These mixes contain
cutting scratchin mixing and doubling up. Not quite the DJ Premier level but in
that spirit.
The USBs are going on sale today and
