The Wire USB Mix Series

The Wire Mix USB Series.

For the last few years I have been making Hip Hop mixes with characters from The Wire featured on each one. The first one was a few years ago and featured Omar and was called Best Not Miss. The mix was well received and I went on to make the next one featuring The Bunk - A Code. Having done 10 mixes featuring; Omar, Bunk, Slim Charles, Bodie, Bubbs, Stringer, Snoop and Chris, Avon, Herc and McNulty I am now releasing them on a credit card style USB.

These mixes are not carefully crafted pieces of perfection created on a computer. They are Hip Hop mixes from my turntables. Yes, I edit out some serious fuck ups but other than that it is pretty much live. You can tell that they are rugged neva smooth. These mixes contain cutting scratchin mixing and doubling up. Not quite the DJ Premier level but in that spirit.

The Wire Mixes Part 10 - Little Boy Blue

The Wire is about Cops vs bad guys. The Wire mixes seem to be mostly bad guys. The Bunk and Herc the only other police to feature in the mixes. But our favorite drunk cop has yet to make an appearance. Little Boy Blue is of course Bunk's affectionate name for Jimmy McNulty.
A self proclaimed hero of the Baltimore Police Department, Jimmy's antics were hysterical to watch. So I give to you Part 10 of The Wire mixes - Little Boy Blue. Enjoy.

It has been a long time coming but at last it is here. The new mix in the Wire inspired series. Each mix takes a character from the show. We have done; Omar, Bunk (The), Slim Charles, Bubbs, Bodie and Stringer Bell so who is next?

This is the first time I have used two characters but these guys are such a double act that they are always together. Snoop and Chris.

Muscle for Marlo is busy work and these two are more than up to the task. Bodies were bringing heat on all the Baltimore dealers so Marlo decided to make sure there were no bodies.

'Vacants' is mostly new stuff that I am feeling with a few old joints I have rediscovered.
